Painting with Daniela - Sunflowers

Sunflowers are intriguing! In the last few years I have had many sunflowers growing from bird seed in the most crazy places. . . .yes, even in the shade. The sunflower bloom or head is happy and vibrant and can come in many colours of the sun, from yellows to oranges and reds to browns. The plant grows tall (usually) and the bud of the plant reaches upwards to the sun. Surprisingly the stem or stalk is very strong . . .like super strong! Once the sunflower starts to bloom it is usually at the maximum height of the plant and the head of the flower always seems to look towards the direction of the sun . . .looking towards the sunny side. In this class we'll capture the essence of the sunflower in all its vibrancy in a more impressionistic style. No previous painting experience required; all painting materials provided.
